#beijingmeetsmelbourne is a collaboration between my friend Nina and me - and it’s always a highlight of my week.

Nina and I met during a documentary photography workshop. We bonded over being both Germans living overseas. We miss similar things, we face similar challenges and we appreciate the adventures and new experiences living abroad brings with it.

Documentary photography is our passion and we both wanted to document our lives abroad. However, we didn’t quite know where to begin, what to photograph and how to make it interesting.

So we decided to do it together, in diptych form.

We still haven’t met in real life, but hopefully Beijing will finally meet Melbourne in person this year!
